Progress Skills Checklists (PSC’s) are in your child’s Friday Folder. Please sign and return the envelope to school on Monday.
As your child has probably told you, we have read several versions of Cinderella, and we are using the versions to teach some of our second grade reading standards. We will continue reading different versions of Cinderella for the next two weeks. As an end of the unit celebration, all second graders are invited to attend the “Royal Ball” that will take place on Thursday, March 16 in the afternoon. Students may dress in nice clothes, or they may dress as a character from any of the Cinderella versions we’ve read in class. A flier can be found in your child’s Friday Folder.
Something I thought I’d never say….thank you for sending your trash with your child this week!!!! We spent this week designing a toy made from recyclable trash, and students will assemble their toys when we go to the Science Lab next week. Our class will attend the Science Lab on Tuesday, March 7 at 9:00. I look forward to seeing our parent volunteers for this fun lab activity!
Important Upcoming Dates:
Tuesday, March 7 – Science Lab
Friday, March 10 – Teacher Workday-No School for Students
Monday, March 13 – Teacher Workday-No School for Students
Have a great weekend!
