- MY Math students ONLY: The students are beginning a new unit in math. There is a note in this week’s Friday folder, asking you to send 4 quarters, 5 dimes, 5 nickels, and 10 pennies in a Ziploc bag on Monday. Please refer to the letter for more information.
- Tuesday, November 8 is a Teacher Workday, and there is no school for students.
- Friday papers will not be sent home next Friday, November 11. Instead, we will send Friday papers home on Wednesday, November 16. Please sign and return papers and folders and return them to school on Thursday, November 17.
- Wednesday, November 16 is the Second Grade Musical performance for the school. Please have your child wear his/her orange second grade t-shirt to school on Wednesday, November 16 and send an extra shirt. After the performance, students will return to our classroom and change from their grade level t-shirt into their shirt they brought from home. I will keep the t-shirt at school until Thursday, and I will have the students change into their performance shirt when they arrive in the evening.
- Thursday, November 17 is the Second Grade Trading Post. In this week’s Friday Folder, there is a note written on pink paper that explains what we will do. Essentially, students are asked to bring 10 handmade items to school, and we will have a trading post with the entire second grade. I have explained this to the students, and there is more information on the pink paper.
- Thursday, November 17 is the Second Grade Musical at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please have your child at school, in our classroom, no later than 6:15. The students have been working hard, and their performance promises to be wonderful.
- Friday, November 18 is a Teacher Workday, and there is no school for students.
- Monday, November 21 through Friday, November 25 is Thanksgiving Break.
