SKILLS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 10-14
Math: review of unit 5
*Assessment is Thursday, April 13.
Reading: using context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words
Language Arts: review of types of sentences/capitalization & punctuation
Writing: opinion letter writing about favorite book characters
Science: natural disasters
In writing this week, the students are learning to write opinion letters about their favorite books and book characters. The children may use books from the classroom and school library. I look forward to learning their opinions about their favorite books and characters.
Milestone Testing begins on Thursday for students in grades 3-5. In order to provide a good testing environment for those students, we are not allowed to have visitors in the building during testing (April 13-25). That includes mystery readers and lunch visitors. Thank you for your support and understanding.
I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful spring break. I certainly enjoyed a week with my family in Texas. Can you believe we only have SEVEN more weeks of school???
